Removing bidder(s) (Uninviting a bidder from a project)

Note: If you accidentally send an invitation to a company that you didn't mean to, it is often best to notify them separately that you are "retracting" your emailed invitation before you remove them from the project. Let them know that you will be removing them from the Bidders List and they will not have access. Otherwise, they may try to access the project and won't be able to, causing them to contact you or PreconSuite support thinking there is a problem with their login.

To Remove a single bidder from a project:
Method #1: From any Bidders List
  • Open your project.
  • Under Project Options, select View Bidders . Select how you would like to view your bidders, either Bidders by Trade, or Master Bid List. (Master Bid List allows you to find by first letter of Company Name).
  • Find the company you would like to remove and then click on their company name.
  • When the company information box opens, select Remove Bidder from Project.

    Method #2: From a subcontractor's record
  • Open up the subcontractor/company's record (use the Keyword Search).
  • Click on their Projects tab (to their right of their Bids & Files tab).
  • Click the blue "Invite to Projects" button in the upper right.
  • Find the project you want to remove them from and click the "+"  to expand.
  • Uncheck the Star(s) next to the Trade(s) you want to remove them from.

To Remove several companies from a Bidders List:
  • Open your project.
  • Under Project Options select Select Bidders> By Trade-Individually.
  • Select the Division and then the trade of the sub(s) you want to remove.
  • Uncheck the Star(s) for the companies you want to remove, or "Remove All" to remove all the companies in that trade.
