Bid Leveling

BID LEVELING

In PreconTabs, open a project and click on a Bid Form to view the Bid Leveling screen. Side-by-side comparisons make it easier to find any glaring differences, so you can eliminate any potential issues before awarding contracts.

Bids automatically sort lowest to highest, left to right.



If you find discrepancies, you can add plug numbers or overrides. Click on the pencil button that shows up when rolling over each entry. Your overrides will show in yellow, and an adjusted total will show at the bottom of the tabulation sheet.

Other features on this screen:

A. Click on the three dots to the right of each subcontractor company to:
- Enter a Bid Form on behalf of a subcontractor.
- Check-mark when the subcontractor’s bid has been reviewed.
- Copy subcontractor invitation link (in case you want to email it to the individual company for whatever reason).
- An individual setting to allow subcontractor to be able to edit their Bid Response.

B. Export to Excel.

C. Edit. This will create a new Bid Form Version if there are existing entries, and you will be able to view all prior Versions/entries. If you create a new Version, you should send a notice to re-bid (resubmit) their bid form.

D. Preview. This is a preview of your Bid Form that your subcontractors will see.

E. Close. Prevents any more Bid Form entries.

F.  Archive. Prevents any more Bid Form entries and removes from the list of Bid Forms for the project.
