"Do Not Invite" status option in subcontractor/company records.
They will still be visible on the Select Bidders > By Trade-Individually screen, but "Do Not Invite" shows where you would normally see a star so that it is no longer possible to add them to projects.
There are several scenarios where this status can be helpful:
- You have had a bad experience with the company and prefer not to invite them to any future projects.
- The company has opted out of receiving bid invitations. Rather than delete them (and accidentally add them back in the future), this simple check-box prevents any future bid invitations, and you can simply uncheck it if they ever change their mind.
- The company's Prequal form has been declined, so you want to prevent them from being invited to projects until they have met your qualification requirements.
- The company's email is bad, and they are not responding when trying to obtain the correct email.
- A company is or appears to be out of business. If deleted, one of your users might accidentally add them back not knowing they are no longer in business.
NOTES:
- This check box will not remove the company from any project bidders lists they are already on. TIP: If you want to remove them from projects, view their Projects tab in their record, then click the blue "Invite to Projects" button in the upper right. Click the + sign to open each project, then uncheck the Star for the Trade(s) they were previously invited.
- They will not show up or be invited when using the Select Bidders> By Trade-ALL method.
- You can still send them a Prequal form (provided the "Send Email" is still checked in their record). This allows you to send them a Prequal form to qualify them if desired.
