Project Contacts
Project Contacts show on the Bid Invitation and in your Subcontractor Planroom Portal.
Here is how to add Project Contact(s):
- Within your project options, click Project Contacts.
- The upper portion "Internal Contacts" allows you to select from your company's PreconSuite users.
a) Select the user from the "Contact" pull-down.
b) Assign a "Title" if you wish. If no title is entered, the user's Title from their record will be used. If there is no Title in their record, "Estimator" will be used.
c) If desired, enter a Sort order if you want them listed in a certain order.
d) Click "Remove" as needed to remove or redo.
- The lower portion "External Contacts" allows you to add Project Contacts that are not PreconSuite users.
a) First, add the contact by clicking "Manage External Contacts". This will store this contact for future use within this feature only.
b) Select the contact from the "Contact" pull-down.
c) Assign a Title, if desired. If left blank, it will show as blank.
c) The Internal and External Project Contacts will show in one list for your bidders to see (not separated by Internal or External Contacts). - When using Bid Packages, you have the option of assigning Project Contacts to Bid Packages.
a) Within a Bid Package, click "Bid Package Contacts"
b) Uncheck to box "Same as Parent".
c) Select Bid Package Contact(s) same as above.
- Note that if a user is assigned as a Project Contact, the project will show up in their Calendar if they filter calendar using "My Projects", since they are now associated with the project.
