Be able to select bidders by distance from zip code of project
Currently when selection bidders you have to go through or entire list even if they are 500 miles away from the project and would never bid on it. By being able to search by distance from zip code do not have to go through the entire list only the bidders that are with so many miles of the project.
The new Select Bidders function has been added!
This new feature is accessible within your project via Project Options>Select Bidders>By Trade-ALL. The function adds all subs within your selected trades to your bidders list, with the option to filter out by Zip code radius and/or by one or more groups.
The other method of selecting bidders is still there. Its menu button has been changed to “Select Bidders>By Trade-Individually”. You can use the new function to select all the subs within your trades, and then go back and use the old method to deselect individual subs if you don’t want to invite everyone.
We hope this new feature saves you time!

This is a function that the Blue Book uses when selecting subs in their BB Bid function. One of the downfalls from it is that you can only go a maximum of 60 miles from the zip code you enter. Just because a contractor is outside of that 60 mile radius doesnt mean that they wouldnt be interested in the project. You should make the searchable range rather large so that more subs can be notified of the project.

This is a great idea, so I'm not sure why it's taking so long to get approved. I agree that not having to go through my entire list over and over would save time. If I have suppliers or subs that I want to invite outside of the search distance, I will have to individually selected them, but that's okay because this will still be a huge time saver.

What about suppliers who, say, are in CT but can deliver to Philadelphia? How can we ensure that they are invited? I love the idea thought, it rings very true.
