Confirming if a Sub is bidding on a project or not.
Some improvements were made in an effort to get more subs to respond. First, the Response Link and the sentence in front of it are now in bold font.
Second, the Response Link was added to all Addenda, reminding the sub of their response status. For those that haven’t responded, the sentence reads in bold: “You have not responded to let us know if you are bidding or not. Please use the Response Link to let us know.”
For those that have responded “Yes”, it reads: "You responded “YES” that you will be bidding.
If you have changed your mind, please let us know via the link below:
>>> EDIT RESPONSE <<<".
For those that responded “No”, the new sentence reads: "You have responded “NO”, that you will not be bidding. We are sending you this notice in case any new information might change your mind.
If so, please use the Edit Response link below.
>>> EDIT RESPONSE <<<".
The same sentences show on Invitations that are resent to those that may have already responded “Yes” or “No” so that they can see their response and edit if needed.

May not be a bad idea to put a "Maybe" option. This way, we know they read the invite and may be interested, but they are not required to lock down a "yes" or "no" answer right away.

Perhaps reminder emails can be sent to let them know they have not yet responded? I get these all the time from other subs. Eventually I get annoyed by the emails everyday and respond.

I don't agree with the making a subcontractor click yes or no before exiting the site - that will give a false reading of who is actually interested.

If they are a YES, display:
You responded "YES" that you will be bidding.
If you have changed your mind, please let us know via the link below:

_________________If they are unconfirmed:
You have not responded. Please let us know if you will be bidding be clicking the link below:

__________________If they have responded "NO", then its not likely you would send them anything, unless maybe the bid date has changed and they may now change their mind and say yes. If they are a "No", display....
You have responded "NO", that you will not be bidding. We are sending you this notice in case this new information might change your mind.
If so, please use the Edit Response link below.

Any way to get subs to provide bidding feedback is a priority to me. Maybe the system could keep sending emails until they respond. They would eventually get tired of getting the emails and respond.

Great idea!!! Making them pick right away will be so much better.

I have a hard time getting my subs to click yes or no. My suggestion is the first time they log into a project to view it they can't log out until they select yes or no. Please vote for this one!
