Select Bidders by Trade-Individually

Notice your filter Groups (if you have any) are shown near the top of the screen so that you can narrow down your list of subs if you wish. Ignore this if you want to be able to view/select from all subs in your database.

a.       First, let’s review the basic function of selecting bidders without using the Filter function. Your Division numbers are listed across the top of the page. Start by clicking on a Division, then click on the Trade Code.  There are a few ways to select bidders from this page:

                                                              i.      If you only want to invite a few subcontractors within a Trade, single-click on the Star next to the sub(s) you want to invite. When it turns Gold, they are added to your Bidders List. To remove them, click the star again.

ii.      Click on the “Select All” to invite everyone in a Trade/Subdivision.  If you want to view your Bidders List in a project, go to View Bidders in the left gray menu. Select which list you would like to see in the upper right pull-down.

iii.      Sort by any of the available Column Headings such as City, State, or Phone (so you can group them and select by Area Code).

NOTE: Each User can choose to show or not show the Phone, Contact Name, Groups, and Notes on the Select Bidders screen. Go to your User Profile > User Preferences.

b.      Using the Filter Function.

                                                              i.      At the top of the add bidders page, you will notice a pull-down that shows all your Groups. You can refine your list of subs to only those that meet your search qualifications based on the subs that are in the groups you select. Make sure to click the “Filter List” after selecting a filter, then start selecting subs by Division/Trade.

1.      Notice that each time you select a Filter/Group, it will show you which one you selected above the filter pull-down list.

ii.      You may select as many filters as you like. The system uses the “Either/Or” logic, meaning that it will display all the subs that are in either of the filter groups you selected. This can be handy if you assign your subs into Area groups, and have a project that is on the boarder of both Areas. You can select both Area Groups and pipeline will show you all the subs that are in either of your Groups.

iii.      If you wish to clear your filters and start over, click “Clear Filters”. Clearing Filters will not remove bidders, but it will allow you to see all available bidders until/unless you select another filter.
