How to Search PreconDirectory for Additional Subcontractors

If you are lacking coverage in an area or trade, go to:
Companies> Search PreconDirectory

Initial Setup:

- Map your trades/codes to the ones in PreconDirectory. This way, when you search your trades, they will match the ones in PreconDirectory. In the upper right pull-down, select "Map Trades". You do not need to map all your trades...there may be specific trades in your database that are not in our Directory.
- Map your Groups (if any) to the ones in PreconDirectory (such as Union, Non-Union, MBE, etc).

Search for Subs:
  1. Once logged in, click "Search for Subs" in the upper-left corner next to the PreconDirectory logo.
  2. Enter the zip code of your project, and the desired radius search. Note that you also have the option to click "Company" if you are looking for a specific company and are not sure what trade or location they are in.
  3. Choose the trades you would like to search for (when using the Zip Code search).
  4. You will see a list subcontractors for each list in separate tabs. (Click on the (i) to view more info such as Contact Name, Phone, Email). Click the blue "Import" button to add them to your Company database.
  5. They will be assigned to a Group called "From PipelineDirectory" so you'll be able to differentiate them from your existing subs. To add them to a project/Bidders List, use Select Bidders> By Trade-ALL, and filter by the Group "From PipelineDirectory".

TIP: You can also customize which group or groups they are assigned via "Settings" (upper right pull-down). For example, you may want to assign them to a custom Area Group such as "Area: Orlando" so they can be filtered separately.
