Project Lead, Bid Package Lead, and "Send From" Settings

This article explains the "Project Lead" and "Send From" settings, which are viewable in the Parent Project Settings as well as within each Bid Package Settings screen.

To view which users are assigned as the Project Lead and Send from, go to Settings from within a Project or within a Bid Package.





Project or Bid Package Lead (Note: Only Admin user role can view/edit the Project or Bid Package Lead)
By default, the Project Lead is assigned to the user who created the project. The Project Lead's project color will show on the bid calendar, and their name will show when hovering over the project. By default, the Lead will receive the following emails:
  • RFI's from bidders (editable via "RFI Recipients" on the Project Settings sceen)
  • Bids Uploaded (editable via "Bid Upload Recipients" on the Project Settings screen)
  • Email alert from bidders who edit their contact info via the "Update My Info" tab in your planroom (unless your company has embedded a custom form from the Prequal Module, in which case the email recipient is pulled from the Prequal Form Details screen).
Send From: 
By default, the Send From email is the "Sender" (whoever clicks the "Send" button), but can be changed on a project-by-project basis. Invitations and Notices will be sent from the assigned Send From user's email.

System Setting to Set a Default Project Lead or Send From for ALL Projects:
To assign a user as the default Parent Project Lead and/or Send From, go to Settings in the far left menu (not the Settings button within a project), then System Preferences > Project Settings.
